Inopia barcelona tapas

Eating tapas is a quintessential thing to do when in Barcelona, and the variations are aplenty so there will always be something to try every day. Call it a lifestyle maybe, and we really love how the Spanish indulge in the art of waking up late and lingering around tapas bars when the whole world is hard at work. We bar-hopped every day when in Barcelona, ate more tapas in one week than we ever did in our whole lives, and our perceptions will never be the same again. Because apart from the interesting creations that we would never otherwise get in Singapore, eating tapas and sipping wine in Barcelona is an exceptionally sexy thing to do — especially when you sit outdoors on tree-lined paths, and when you have Latino music looping in the background.

Ask anyone where the best tapas could be found and they would tell you Bar Pinotxo. Despite being internationally recognized and loved by its locals, Bar Pinotxo remains small and humble. The place is packed to the brim throughout the day and the process of queueing and waiting for a seat is an arduous journey undertaken only by the diehard foodies.

The downsides would be the waiting time and costly menu. Lively, vibrant and full of energy, Bilbao Berria is a fun tapas bar to dine at. Wash down everything with a jar of sangria. Life is perfect.

Best Tapas In Barcelona (+ our favourite Paella!) - Spain Travel Guide

This is our absolute favourite tapas restaurant in Barcelona. It is perpetually crowded during meal times, so your best bet is to get here early. Otherwise, you have to be prepared to stand in line for at least minutes. We would suggest getting a seat at the tapas bar because not only is the queue shorter, you can also catch all the actions unfolding right before your eyes.

The Baby Squids done in Andaluz style is also a must-try. Located at the back of La Boqueria market, El Quim de la Boqueria is not as prominent as Bar Pinotxo, but once you walk to the end of the market, it can be spotted easily. What the tiny stall lacks in size, it more than makes up for it with a wide variety of food.

The mussels are super fresh and perfectly cooked. It is fun, bustling and offers the quintessential Spanish tapas experience. Paco Meralgo came highly recommended by a local and indeed, we had an excellent meal there. There are no seats, so you wait for your turn to get a spot at the crowded bar, and then fight — no, we are not kidding — to get the attention of the staff to order your food. Settle down with a glass of sangria or cava, or both.

There are many tapas to choose from, but one of the most popular options that everyone orders is the Salmon, Yogurt and Truffled Honey Sandwich.

The recommendations of Spanish locals brought us to Segons Mercat restaurant, an innovative tapas place located in the district of La Barceloneta.Barcelona, Spain. Open now.

I love this place! The food is excellent and wine too. We were Very good spanish Tappas in a small and modern bar. The service was excellent, although the bar was getting quite full in the evening. You can sit at the bar, and you will also find some tables on the in- and outside. Overall we had The staff is friendly and they give you all the advices about the menu and the day specialties.

Lolita Tapería

Great food, great staff, great drinks and an unpretentious friendly environment. Would def recommend! We went there around Some where were Spanish others international and different but it was all tasteful and very well prepared. Great atmosphere. Can highly recommend the This is not a district I normally go to, but to escape the city centre for the evening we went for a walk to the theatre area.

Initially we just went into Lolita for a drink but we stayed for a tapa dinner. We had We went on a recommendation. We were greeted by Danny the manager.

We explained that we were tapas virgins and needed a lot of guidance. We gave him carte blanche to choose for us, this was the best thing we did. We ate here as group one evening. The selection was excellent, that I have to say, but after spending 30 Euros I didn't expect to walk away hungry.

I am somewhat surprised by the relatively low rating. This to me is appealing rather than eating on La Rambla. You need to make sure you know where you are going in order to find this. The food itself was wonderful. You can watch and see as it is prepared right in front of you with very excellent attention to detail.

We found out that due to the counter space, they only serve a maximum of 3 dishes at a time which can be odd to people who are used to all of their tapas being brought at the same time but which is nice as it allows you to extend the meal and really enjoy yourself. You must have the mini-burger and the potato chip fried chicken strips which are wonderful.

There also have daily specials and it is fun as you can see what others have ordered and then just request that as well. Obviously you can take a taxi or the subway, but it is an easy 20 minute walk to the downtown area as well. I would highly recommend this place and it was our favourite tapas in Spain. I went solo to this taperia and was very pleasantly surprised: excellent service, with counsels on what to choose, a couple of original tapas the mini-burger with foie gras was amazing.

Top that with a good atmosphere and you've got a winner.

Inopia (Barcelona)

Wish I live in BCN to go there a couple of times a week! However, tourists have found it as well. One of the best tapas bar i've been too. I went to Lolita Taperia based on the reviews from tripadvisor. The interior of the restaurant only has one large table which by the sounds of a small group that entered after us, you have to negotiate with the management to get The rest of the restaurant is a lineup of bar stools Overall I found the atmosphere a bit pretentious and the signature "kiss" that symbolizes the restaurant was overly used It is true that the tapas were tasty, but they were overly small.

I get it, it's suppose to be a taste, but we've been to other tapas places that were even more highly rated than this that had larger portions. That being said, we found it pricy But by the time we left the place was packed and they even barricaded the door It seems to be a very popular place for locals. I would not return again and would not recommend.

Maybe it the found was cheaper and was set in more of a cute and charming environment. We stumbled upon it and ended up having a really relaxed time, tapas were amazing! While we ate a big queue built up outside and we realized it was a bit of a hotspot! Very cosmopolitan. Own or manage this property? Was expecting much more from a place with such a good name.

I guess became only a touristic place. After six months with the shutters down it's finally back. Great price-quality ratio and good atmosphere. However, it can get a bit loud if the table at the front is fully occupied. I love this place! The food is excellent and wine too.

Inopia strives to be a typical place for Tapeo meaning, going out for tapas. This fact becomes bluntly obvious as you walk into the restaurant and notice that there is only one table available for sitting, while two others remain in the corner solely for those with reservations.

Coupled with the fact that this place has become wildly popular, it is suggested to get there early to avoid the inevitable jockeying for position around the main bar or the small bars lining the walls. Filled with hungry city dwellers, Inopia is a great place to practice your high school Spanish, or help someone with their English, as you try to maneuver your way in to taste some of those cheese triangles scattered upon your plate. In staying with their typical tapas bar them, Inopia offers many of the traditional tapas found throughout Spain, but often with a special twist that only they can deliver.

On a lighter note, try their Escaixada, a tasty plate of select pieces of Bacalao reconstituted and desalinized salt cod topped with a fine mesh of spring onion and exceptional olive oil. Aside from cooked delicacies, Inopia has arguably one of the best selections of canned seafoods like razor clams, berberechos petite cockles and sardines, among a myriad of others. These typical canned delicacies are often the substance behind the traditional dinner in homes throughout Spain. The grilled Ventresca de atun, or the belly cut, is one of my favorites of their signature dishes.

In Spain, we have access to some of the best seafood in the world, and one of the greatest fruits of the sea may be the mighty tuna. Hence, there is nothing I want more when I walk in the door than a perfectly grilled slice of ventresca. This long and glistening slice of fish is grilled so that the outside is nicely cooked and hot, while the inside retains its natural pink color with swirls of white fat interlaced in a way only nature can imagine.

This warm and juicy flesh is sliced into sashimi like slices and topped sparingly with a spicy and smoky pepper garlic sauce that lovingly complements the rich flavor of this cut of tuna. Obviously, a restaurant offering such a display of fine cuisine cannot be complete without a wine selection that rivals the quality of the food.

Inopia is amply stocked with some of the finest regional wine offerings of reds, whites and Cavas to be had. Finally, a specialty of Inopia is a chupito meaning, a small glass of their outrageously tasty and aromatic Red Peach Patxaran. This sweet desert liquor is great way to top off your evening and soften the blow as you reach for your wallet.

Why are they called Bombas Mexicanas? This dish is often topped with a hot sauce similar to traditional Mexican sauces made with spicy vinegar. With little preparation and easy to get ingredients this can be big hit if you want to impress with cooked tapas.

Make your traditional mashed potatoes, but add very little milk and butter in order to get a good thick consistency. While the potatoes are cooling, finely chop the garlic and onion and toss it into a pan with a splash of olive oil.

Lightly cook the onion and garlic before adding the meat.

The best tapa dishes are served at Cerveseria Catalana. Gostaria de fazer reservas nesse conceituado estabelecimento para a noite do dia 10 de outubro de My favourite out of this list is definitely Quimet Quimet. It is without doubt the most exciting place to eat in Barcelona. While we did learn how to make some simple tapas — gazpacho, tortilla etc. But we did do one dish that was quite possibly the best tapa i tried in Barcelona.

It was chicken poached in wine then mixed with saffron yogurt, black grapes and toasted almonds. Then it was wrapped in a radicchio and lightly fried. Then we dipped it in fennel seeds that had been crushed with lemon zest and raisins.
